i wore -
hat : glue
top : konk
pants : fcuk
electric blue sockettes : sportsgirl
studded feet : colin stuart via victoria's secret

so you can't really see the detailing of this top that was sort of a last minute find at camberwell . it features different material-ed and patterned paneling and i picked it up without really thinking about whether i'd have use for it . i've been on the look out for tops for quite some times now ( trying to avoid picking up dresses that are black or too short or too tight or worse still , a combination of ALL THREE ) . i was pleasantly surprised that it fits really well - sort of relaxed in the front and fitted in the back .
i've never really been a " seperates " kind of girl . i stick mainly to jumpsuits and dresses cause they're just easier to wear . but because there is the nasty looming potential job coming up , i figure i need to start looking for pieces that i can pass off for corporate wear without it looking like i stepped of the g2000 catalogue ( i.e. pencil skirts + shirts ) . i figure this was a good compromise and i liked the fact that it came all the way from berlin .
the girl who sold me this told me her dad had bought it for her from this shop called konk in berlin . i wasn't quite sure whether to believe her because if i was trying to offload my stuff , i probably would've made up some story too . so today , amidst my research for my assignment ( completely unrelated to this topic ) , i decided to google the brand and see if what she said was true .
lo and behold my friends :

" The interplay between fashion and art has always defined Konk’s concept. Since 2003, Konk was founded and became an integral part of Berlin culture, steadily evolving in the avant- garde scene of this vibrant city. "
