SINGAPORE DAY 2008 IN MELBOURNE WAS A GREAAAAAT SUCCCESSSSS !!!!

big ups to dion + the crew who stood in line for a very meager portion of ( according to them ) " not-bad " bak chor mee . sam and i made a bee line for the kaya toast ( toastbox ) , then the hokkien mee , char kway teow + chicken rice . i think the biggest problem for most of the dishes is that they lacked the proper ingredients . hokkien mee really isn't hokkien mee without the beehoon and the right yellow noods ( they had a really poor substitute - sort of a hybrid bee tye mak type thing ) . but i guess after you've been here for so long it doesn't really matter any more cause you're just happy to get your greedy little hands on anything that closely resembles home food .

DT is so greedy ; he took 3 lucky draw coupons and in the end he didn't even win . HAHAHAHA .

we tried to do pull ups at the mindef tent but failed miserably . there was also this sneaky photographer who took photos while we were flailing like mad chickens hanging onto a bar . we didn't manage to ask him what publication it was for , but if you do see us in the papers / mags / tabloids / online , PLEASE LET US KNOW . anyway , then dion hustles up and puts us all to shame . KNS .

do you ever wake up and suddenly realise you have no idea what you're doing with your life ? the other day i woke up and staring at the ceiling , i realised that i hold a diploma and i'm about to graduate with a degree , and the most ridiculous thing is i probably don't know any more than the average joe does about media ( the theory and everything else ) . for the longest time i knew what i wanted to do and it was the only thing i wanted to do . now , i'm not sure if that it's for me or i really want to be working alongside some of the other people who're in the same industry . it's so disheartening to be reading textbooks about things that i'm supposed to know but for some strange reason i struggle to grasp the concepts and comprehend the words .

this break was a much needed one ; but i am still as lost as i was before .
